A Day in the Life of a MCT Actress

Whew! Ca-RAZY day. Basically, I woke up (late) this morning. And by late, I mean like, 7:15-ish, 7:30. I like to be up by 6 or 6:30 so that I have time to shower and do all that funky stuff. Too tired this morning. Haha. I was a lazy bed bug.

Anyway. Went to school. Had a really monotonous, miserable day. Obviously. I was at school. =P

Anyway. Then I got to go to play practice. It was pretty great. Apparently the other director, Christy-Anne (don't know how to spell it) had taught us some stuff wrong, so we had to re-learn how to do it. Our directors are great though. I think some of my favorites. They're both just really really funny.

And then we had lunch break. Annnnnd we went through the scenes, and then we were running early, so we got to play Maffia, which is basically the greatest game to ever walk the planet. Allow me to explain...

The Game of Maffia!

So, basically, you have 2-3 Maffia memebers. And a doctor or superhero or nurse or whatever, and the detective. And of course the townsmen. Oh, and a narrator! Now, the whole city goes to "sleep" and closes their eyes (without cheating or peaking!) and the narrator tells the Maffia to wake up. The maffia silently identify who they are going to kill, by pointing. The maffia are told to go back to sleep, and the narrator awakens the Superhero. And I've played it two ways. The super hero chooses who he wants to save, or the narrator tells the superhero who's gonna be killed, and the superhero decides whether he's going to save them or not (but he only gets to save one person!) The narrator tells the hero to go back to sleep and awakes the Detective. the detective silently points to someone, and the narrator tells the person (silently) by shaking his or her yead yes or no as to whether the person is in the maffia. The detective goes to sleep. Now it's morning and the whole town wakes up! And the narrator tells them who died, always coming up with some funky, crazy story as to how the maffia killed them. For instance, tonight the maffia shoved a carrot up someone's nose. *odd look* definitely the most unique one we've had. Anyway. If the superhero saved them, the narrator also comes up with some crazy way the person was saved. Then the towns people nominate who they think the maffia is. They nominate two or three people and then vote to who they think is the maffia member. You continue on in this whole pattern until either all the maffia are killed or all the townspeople are dead. xD Greatest game ever.

Anyway. Then we practiced some more. Annnnd then I came home. By the way, the play is Red Riding Hood. And it's just Red Riding Hood. NOT "Little" Red Riding Hood. xD I get to play the part of Red's best friend, (one of them) girlfriend number three. Basically we're really ditzy and insane which is really fun because it's the complete opposite of what I actually am. xD So basically the performance is Friday. Yay!

Annnd that's it. Bye luffs.
